Introducing
Today's open models. As text messages. On the iPod you already own.
Now with people in it.

Replies arrive as a run of short messages, one bubble at a time, with the typing dots in between. It even says Delivered.
Every conversation is a person. Seven come built in: a barista, a sarcastic friend, a Spanish tutor, your grandpa, 2010 itself, Zork, and the plain assistant. Add your own with a name, a model and a personality.
Short bursts, held for a beat each so they land the way people type. Send swoosh, receive tri-tone, Delivered under your last message.
Take one, choose one, or send the last photo you took. Gemma 4, GLM 5.3 and DeepSeek OCR see it.
Tap the mic, talk, tap again. A tiny relay on your Mac runs Whisper and the words land in the message field. No key, no cloud.
Pick a time. Whoever you texted last sends you a message every morning, and the iPod lights up with it.
Shake to text someone else or clear the thread. Hold a bubble to copy it or email it to yourself.
